PlayStation reached 123 million active users in December!
Sony, which participated in the CES 2024 fair, covered many topics during the presentation, from the car controlled by the PlayStation 5 handle to mixed reality glasses. Among these statements, there were also statements about PlayStation active players.
During the presentation, Sony shared the number of monthly active PlayStation players. Accordingly, the company reached 123 million active players in December. This number was determined as a result of the total number of accounts playing games on PlayStation and using these services.
This number includes not only PS5 but also PS4 users. The number of active players this December broke an all-time record for PlayStation. This revealed that the company achieved a successful result in 2023.
On the other hand, Sony announced in recent months that PlayStation 5 sales have exceeded 50 million in 3 years. PS5 sales have also managed to surpass the Xbox series in recent years. As a result, it is not surprising that the record was broken.
